Did you know? The Washington Jewish Film Festival, in Washington, D.C., is one of the world’s oldest and largest Jewish film festivals which honors works focused on Jewish and Israeli social and political issues.
What: The Washington Jewish Film Festival takes place May 17-28, 2017 and the entire film schedule can be viewed here. In support of the festival interested film goers are encouraged to attend via free passes, view link below to apply. Keep in mine, opening night will include an exclusive screening of the film ‘The Women’s Balcony,’ an accident during a bar mitzvah celebration leads to a gender rift in a devout Orthodox community in Jerusalem in this rousing, gold-hearted tale about women speaking truth to patriarchal power. Look forward to an opening night party to be held at the AFI Silver Theatre immediately following the screening to be catered by Provisions.
